Piranha 3D Sequel

/Film is reporting the inevitable release of the Piranha 3D sequel, potentially by Summer 2011. Piranha 3D did well enough in theaters to earn a sequel, making $65 million worldwide plus DVD/Blu-ray sales. According to Deadline Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan (Saw V, Saw VI, Saw 3D) have been hired to write the screenplay, with John Gulager directing.

There’s no confirmed story line yet, but in past interviews the idea of the sequel involving the Full Moon Party in Thailand. If you haven’t heard of the party check out the Wikipedia page here, but to summarize it’s 20,000-30,000 young people taking mushrooms and partying…on a beach. Fits the bill pretty well doesn’t it?
