NBC releases a six-episode prequel series to ‘Heroes Reborn’

Heroes Reborn

Among one of the more notable premieres of the 2006-2007 television season was the NBC series Heroes. Set in a world where people had superpowers, the show examined how different people dealt with such powers. While the show was cancelled after its fourth season, cancellation proved to not be the final nail in the series’ coffin, as NBC announced that it would be reviving the show with creator Tim Kring, five years after it went off the air.

Titled Heroes Reborn, the new series sees Jack Coleman, Masi Oka, Sendhil Ramamurthy, and Greg Grunberg reprise their roles from the original show, with Zachary Levi, Ryan Guzman, Pruitt Taylor Vince, and Eve Harlow joining the series. Ahead of the show’s premiere next month, NBC has now released a prequel series online to set things up. Titled Heroes Reborn – Dark Matter, the six episodes can be seen below. Heroes Reborn will premiere on September 24th at 8 pm ET.
