On Episode 5 of Front Row Center, Derek Gladu and Simon Howell discuss the career of Iranian filmmaker Jafar Panahi with a special focus on his film Crimson Gold, written by fellow filmmaker Abbas Kiarostami. Panahi was sentenced late last year to six years in prison, and is barred from making films for another twenty – all in spite of his reputation as one of Iran’s greatest-ever filmmakers.
